Geberit top ten in the world for sustainability
Leading sanitaryware solutions and pipework supplier Geberit has been recognised for its overall commitment to sustainability, being ranked as one of the top ten most sustainable companies in the world by independent research group Corporate Knights.

The top Canadian research group annually evaluates 100 companies based on ten environmental, social and governance performance metrics, including energy and waste productivity and transparency. The latest rigorous research, which was recently published, ranked Geberit among the top ten most sustainable companies worldwide. This supports and validates the company’s long-held and all-encompassing commitment to environmental issues. In fact sustainability has been a long tradition at Geberit where it has been a central theme since the early nineties. Corporate Knights recognised the fact that sustainability influences the company’s strategic orientation and is regarded as a benchmark for thinking and acting in its research and development as well as in its production.

Geberit has a clear objective for a sustained improvement in the quality of people’s lives through innovative solutions in plumbing technology. With this commitment in mind, the company’s products, systems and services are subject to continuous development to ensure they perform to the very best environmental standards and production is made as energy-efficient and as sparing in terms of resources as possible.

Based on global trends such as increasing water consumption, one key focus of Geberit’s sustainability strategy is the effect its products have on the environment and how they can help to reduce our daily consumption of water - this is particularly pertinent in the UK with pending changes to Part G of the building regulations.

Geberit has set clear targets for its continued sustainability, helping to ensure it remains in the top ten most sustainable companies in the world.
